The Seattle Seahawks defense might be without one of its starting linebackers as the team tries to mount a comeback against NFC West rivals, the San Francisco 49ers.
The team announced Drake Thomas was questionable to return to the monumental Week 5 matchup with an ankle injury. Thomas suffered the injury late in the second quarter defending a 49ers’ passing play and was replaced by Tyrice Knight.
Thomas, a four-year
veteran with the Seahawks, has become a key part of the team’s defense, filling the role of partner in crime with Ernest Jones IV. The North Carolina State alum grabbed his second career interception last week and has racked up 18 tackles so far in 2026.
The Seahawks currently trail the 49ers 21-13 after three Seattle turnovers have given their divisional foes 21 points. Seattle will need their defense and Knight to hold firm in the second half if they want to avoid falling to 3-2.
