King Green’s recent string of success came to an end earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 3, 2026) at UFC 332 LIVE on Paramount+/CBS from inside Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, as the 40-year-old veteran was knocked down three times by Esteban Ribovics en route to a first-round TKO loss.
This fight quickly became a grudge match during fight week. The two lightweights mixed it up on the microphone during Thursday’s pre-fight press conference and nearly came to blows on Friday following a weigh ins miss
by Ribovics. Green came into this weekend riding a four-fight win streak and was hoping to use a win over Ribovics to springboard into a “BMF” title shot. That didn’t work out exactly as planned for the aging veteran.
Green did some nice damage early on, but every time Ribovics pressed forward and unloaded more than a few strikes in succession he landed. This didn’t stop Green from keeping his head high and hands down, which led to three total knockdowns from Ribovics. The final one was enough for referee Herb Dean to step in for the stoppage even though Green acted like he was fine.
