Men’s Lacrosse (10-6)
The men’s lacrosse team had an opportunity to advance to the Final Four for the second straight year, but Penn State fell 14-10 to Princeton on Sunday. Chase Robertson had a hat trick and Kyle Lehman scored twice, but Princeton’s offense solved goaltender Preston Hawkins with 14 goals, including five in the final period, to pull away.
Penn State fell short of the Final Four, but a strong nucleus of players returns next season to build on a solid 2026 campaign.
Baseball (16-35)
The baseball season came to a merciful
close after Penn State dropped two of three games against Maryland. Michael Anderson had four RBI and his program-record 20th home run of the season in a 13-3 win in Game 1. The remainder of the season was a struggle for the Nittany Lions both offensively and defensively, as it has been for most of the 2026 season.
The floor fell out for Mike Gambino’s squad after turning in decent performances in 2024 and 2025. Hopefully the team can turn things around in 2027. Penn State has appeared in one NCAA Tournament since 1976 (2000).
