What is the story about?
Bandido was fresh off defending the ROH World Championship against Blake Christian at Supercard of Honor on Friday night in Maryland, then he traveled to Mexico City for a singles bout in CMLL against Volador Jr. on Sunday night. In between, Swerve Strickland punished
Bandido with vertebreaker on a chair. Whether that pain played a role or not, Bandido lost to Volador, and that set up a world title match. After the victory, Volador showed respect to help Bandido up off the mat, then he requested a title shot. Bandido was game.
The ROH world title bout is booked for the CMLL main event on Friday night (May 22, 2026) in Arena Mexico.
Win or lose, Bandido heads to AEW Double or Nothing on Sunday in New York City to fight Swerve in the Owen Hart tournament quarterfinal matchup.
What odds do you give Volador Jr. off doubling down on success to win the ROH World Championship?
