Herrin stayed on for the bottom of the fifth, recording two outs and allowing a double. Jacob Junis punched out Kyle Higashioka for the final out, staying on for the sixth and retiring the side.
Erik Sabrowski replaced Junis in the bottom of the seventh. He gave up a solo homer and two walks before Vogt went to the bullpen again. Nic Enright recorded the final two outs of the seventh and stayed on for the eighth. Enright allowed two singles but retired the side.
There were very few highlights for the Guardians, but the defense did pull out some gems. Angel Martínez made a rough catch in center to retire the side in the top of the first. Arias had another stellar play in the fourth, showing off his arm strength with a jump throw to throw out the runner at first. Bo Naylor made a fantastic throw down to second to prevent a stolen base.
