The Utah Jazz will be good next year. The question is how good. With the addition of Jaren Jackson Jr. last season, along with Darryn Peterson in the draft, it was looking like the record was going to improve a lot next season. The Walker Kessler trade complicated things, but it’s not clear how much. If Jusuf Nurkic provides most of what Walker Kessler did, things might be just as good as they might have been with Kessler. It’s impossible to know without actually seeing it. But that doesn’t mean
we can’t make a prediction, and that’s what inspired this week’s Jazz Reacts fan survey. Where will the Jazz end up come playoff time? Here’s what Jazz fans think.
According to Jazz fans, it’s most likely that the Jazz end up somewhere between 4 and 6 in playoff seeding. I personally agree, Utah is going to absolutely push teams more than anyone outside of Utah expected. I’m a little surprised that the 1-3 is so low, but maybe I’m just a homer. I think that Darryn Peterson is going to be electric, and the pool of talent for Utah is going to crush a lot of mid- and low-level teams.
At FanDuel, the Utah Jazz’s over/under for wins next season is 36.5. Last season, they won 22 games, and for those of us who watched and covered each game, that was a struggle, even with multiple players resting. To me, that’s an easy over, what do you think?
