What is the story about?
I
don’t know, I’m not all that inspired by Dave Dombrowski’s end of year presser. He sounded like he’s going to try and make changes, but with this roster as it is, how will be actually do that? Some are going to have waive some no-trade clauses for that to actually happen.
On to the links.
Phillies news:
- The goals laid out by Dave Dombrowski are pretty obvious. What isn’t obvious is how he is going to achieve all of them ($).
- Now that he is the one in charge permanently, expect Don Mattingly to make some clear changes to the roster ($).
MLB news:
- There are several teams during these LCS games that had small revenues. What does their making it that far say about the coming lockout?
- The end of the Dodgers’ season (yay!) also meant the end of Miguel Rojas’ career as he announced his retirement from the game.
- Doesn’t look quite like the Yankees will be offering a qualifying offer to Jazz Chisholm. That becomes an instant “Hmmm” idea for the Phillies.
- The Padres are going to keep building, but it looks like they’ll need an entire new starting rotation next year.
