The last time we saw Mike Santana on television, he was dropping the TNA world championship to Nic Nemeth at Slammiversary. He did not appear on the next episode of Impact, and there was no update on his status beyond that. Rumors are flying that he could be headed to WWE at the close of his contract.
He may have just given us a date to expect some movement:
The date, July 15, is one week from today. It’s a Wednesday, which is something a few folks in the comments are taking
as some cause for concern regarding his potentially landing in AEW. There hasn’t been any indication of that from anywhere, however, with most signs pointing to his joining WWE instead.
He worked NXT a few times through the partnership with TNA, and it’s unclear if he would be headed back there or if the main roster is the plan. WrestleVotes at one point noted the hope he would be on Raw or SmackDown by the end of 2026 if he’s brought in.
Now we wait.
