The Knockouts division is a point of pride for TNA in the company’s history. Now, the women have a new championship to fight over.
During the Countdown pre-show to Slammiversary, Traci Brooks unveiled the TNA Knockouts Television Championship. She explained how the Knockouts division changed the landscape of professional wrestling. The Knockouts division started the women’s revolution, shattered glass ceilings, and proved that they belong on the biggest stage. TNA created a new opportunity for the Knockouts to make
history again. Starting this upcoming Thursday on Impact, TNA will start a 16-women tournament to crown the first-ever TV champion. That title will be defended exclusively on Impact.

For what it’s worth in terms of forecasting the inaugural winner, Elayna Black was victorious in a three-way against Mara Sade and Indi Hartwell on the pre-show. Sade landed a soaring moonsault on Hartwell. Black grabbed Sade, then she executed a DDT to win.
