The Buffalo Bills won yesterday. It was an ugly start, but the scoreboard was exactly what was needed at the end. Along the way, there was plenty to Shout! about.
You’ve already read about Josh Allen passing Jim Kelly and Greg Rousseau passing Darryl Talley. Plus, there was Tyler Bass rewriting the special teams’ record books.
But that’s not all that was happening on the field as the Bills bested the Baltimore Ravens Sunday afternoon. Here are a few more Shout!outs we had along the way.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Joe Brady is making history
Brady is the first head coach in Bills history to start his career 6-1. And Buffalo’s 33.29 points per game through his first seven games ranks second among NFL coaches in the Super Bowl era, trailing only Mike Martz in 2000.
Everybody wants a piece of the quarterback
Cole Bishop, Landon Jackson, and T.J. Parker each recorded a first-half sack Sunday. Greg Rousseau joined them later, giving Buffalo four different players with a sack against Baltimore.
A first for Davison Igbinosun
Igbinosun came away with the first interception of his NFL career Sunday, giving the Bills the ball back in Baltimore territory. Not a bad way for the rookie to make his mark.
James Cook is on a roll
Make it six straight games with a rushing touchdown for Cook. That’s his second-longest streak, trailing only the franchise-record eight consecutive games he put together across the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
Josh Allen’s legs are making history, too
Allen’s ninth rushing touchdown of the season tied Johnny Lujack’s 1950 NFL mark for the most by a quarterback through seven games. With 88 career rushing touchdowns, Allen also sits 16th on the NFL’s all-time list.
DJ Moore breaks loose
Moore’s 49-yard reception was Buffalo’s third-longest play of the season and his longest catch since a 56-yarder against Washington in October 2023.
