Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright has been named as a replacement addition to the 2026 Pro Bowl games, the team announced on Monday.
Wright will be replacing Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell on the roster.
The 27-year-old had an incredible breakout season, leading the NFL with eight takeaways, five of which being interceptions.
The Bears signed Wright after the Vikings ended his futures contract in the 2025 offseason. He spent most of 2024 on Minnesota’s practice squad, playing in just one game all season. In his previous four seasons in the league, he started in only three games between stints with the Vikings and Cowboys.
Originally a third-round pick by Dallas in 2021, Wright came into his own with the Bears in 2025. With Jaylon Johnson missing most of the year due to injury, Wright who slid into the starting lineup and made an immediate impact. His five interceptions played a major role in Chicago securing many of their trademark comeback wins that ultimately led to them winning the NFC North.
When Johnson returned from injury, it was Wright who stayed as the other starting outside cornerback, replacing incumbent starter Tyrique Stevenson in the lineup. His five interceptions tied for second in the NFL and tied for first among all cornerbacks, trailing only fellow Bears safety and fellow Pro Bowler Kevin Byard for first place.
