The Chargers continued to churn their practice squad around on Wednesday when they announced another trio of transactions yesterday morning.
Per the team, the Bolts are bringing back two more familiar faces
in wide receiver Dalevon Campbell and cornerback Myles Purchase. Both players were signed by the Chargers earlier this spring following April’s draft. Purchase was part of the team’s original UDFA haul while Campbell was signed following a workout during rookie minicamp.
In a corresponding move, the team is releasing rookie center Josh Kaltenberger from the practice squad.
Campbell came to the Chargers following a collegiate career that spanned across stints at Illinois, Nevada, and South Carolina. As a senior for the Gamecocks, Campbell caught 12 passes for 312 yards to post a robust 26.0 yards per reception average.
Purchase played his college ball at Iowa State where he started 34 games for the Cyclones. Prior to the draft, Purchase participated in the Hula Bowl, one of the country’s postseason all-star showcases. During the preseason, Purchase picked off a pass and nearly took it all the way back for a touchdown.
