The Chargers opened up Week Four with another sizable injury report on Wednesday afternoon.
Seven players were DNP, including left guard Kayode Awosika (fibula), defensive lineman Justin Eboigbe (eye), and cornerback Donte Jackson (concussion).
Speedy rookie wideout Brenen Thompson was also DNP with a hamstring injury he sustained against the Raiders in Week Two.
Safety Derwin James (finger) and wideout Ladd McConkey (foot) are two notable names to watch this week, especially the latter who was tagged
with a new injury this week after dealing with a sore rib for two weeks.
Running back Keaton Mitchell was a late addition to the injury report with an ankle injury. He was seen wearing a walking boot after practice but did tell reporters he was “fine.”
Eboigbe’s status is concerning as the defensive line room is already thin with Dalvin Tomlinson still remaining out with a hamstring injury that he sustained against the Raiders. There’s a chance he returns in Week Five, but for now that room is getting concerningly thin.
