AEW’s WrestleDream pay-per-view takes place this Saturday (Oct. 17) in Orlando, Florida. Six matches were officially announced for the event coming into this week’s combo episode of Dynamite and Collision. By the end of the 3.5 hour block of programming, the WrestleDream match count nearly doubled to 11.
The new title matches feature AEW National Champion Andrade El Idolo vs. Tommaso Ciampa, and a 4-way TBS title match of Persephone defending against Queen Aminata, Dani Luna, and Hyan. Ciampa helped
Samoa Joe tap Andrade out in their tag team match on Dynamite, while Luna and Hyan beat Persephone and Britt Baker in a different tag match on Collision.
The other new main card match for WrestleDream is the rubber match between Nick Wayne and old man Chris Jericho. If Jericho loses, The Prodigy says Jericho has to get in the ring and apologize for calling him a douchebag, among other things. He might also have to say sorry for kicking Wayne in the dick.
AEW also announced two matches for the Tailgate Brawl pre-show. FTR and Motor City Machine Guns will kick off their best 3 out of 5 dream match series there, while Sisters of Sin take on Divine Dominion. The latter team is looking for payback after Sisters of Sin blew mist in their face on Dynamite.
Here is the updated card for WrestleDream:
