Chelsea have a huge game coming up midweek, away against Napoli in the Champions League, but that’s no reason to overlook the more immediate task at hand. Three points are an absolute must today against Crystal Palace (and perhaps even more so than on Wednesday) as we look to remain in the thick of the top-five race in the Premier League.
Accordingly, the WAGNH Community would prefer just about the strongest starting lineup, with the only question being about what that strongest lineup might look
like in attack.
There’s little doubt about what is the consensus best back-four and best midfield pairing, but the attacking quartet is less clear. If fit, it surely involves Cole Palmer, and he appropriately leads the attacking group in the voting. Next up is young Estêvão, then a tight race between João Pedro, Liam Delap, and Pedro Neto … with Delap, at 47%, just losing out on a spot in this case. Alejandro Garnacho (34%) isn’t too far behind either, unlike Jamie Gittens (19%), Marc Guiu (6%), and Tyrique George (1%).
4-2-3-1 (78%)
Sánchez (98%) | Cucurella (93%), Chalobah (93%), Fofana (75%), James (81%) | Enzo (88%), Caicedo (97%) | Neto (50%), Palmer (79%), Estêvão (70%) | João Pedro (55%)
Others receiving notable vote totals include Andrey Santos (38%), Josh Acheampong (28%), Malo Gusto (25%), and Benoît Badiashile (12%).
