Per multiple reports, Chargers starting center Tyler Biadasz was rolled up on during an 11-on-11 session with the 49ers. The injury occurred when Niners defensive tackle Sebastian Valdez fell on Biadasz’s leg and the latter was subsequently carted off the field after he was unable to put any weight on it.
So that took, what, no time at all for a major
injury to hit another Chargers starting offensive lineman?
Biadasz is in his first year with the Bolts and now there’s a legitimate chance he does not see the field for a long time, if at all, in 2026. The Chargers should hopefully have an update on the severity of his injury in the next 24 hours or so.
Fortunately, the Chargers did just use their second-round pick on center Jake Slaughter who has been in a three-man race as of late to win the starting left guard job. Now, it looks like Slaughter will immediately slot in as the team’s starter at the pivot while Kayode Awosika remains the front-runner at left guard.
We will update this post with any additional information as it comes.
