The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-2 now heading into their Week 5 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday morning.
A lot can change in a week, and the Eagles have had more than a few surprises thrown at them, including Lane Johnson retiring, Cam Jurgens being traded to the Ravens, and an injury list that just grows longer by the day. The team has played just four games this season, and they are already calling on backups and third string players to step in, particularly on offense.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts will be leading an offense that is missing their WR1 DeVonta Smith, RB1 Saquon Barkley, RB2 Tank Bigsby, and will have three new offensive lineman up front.
There’s a lot to be down about roster-wise, but on a positive not, TE Dallas Goedert returns this week, and the young WRs, like Darius Cooper and Makai Lemon, have found ways to be impactful the first few games. Running back Will Shipley also has a lot of experience as he steps in for Barkley and Bigsby, and the team signed Carson Steele from the practice squad.
Even before the injuries stacked up, the Eagles struggled with penalties and negative plays, and have yet to really deploy the offense they spent the offseason installing.

Sunday’s effort feels like a stop-gap to get the Eagles back to Philly and have some more time to figure out how best to fill their roster and move forward with injured players and newcomers. Still, head coach Nick Sirianni and QB Jalen Hurts never rest on excuses, and will hopefully lay the foundation to build on with a win in London, and bring some momentum back home.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the game.
