The Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams is a battle between the top two teams in the NFC West, yet the NFL on FOX is not exactly giving it the treatment it deserves.
Unfortunately, this is a weekend in which CBS has the doubleheader, with the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos serving as the lead 1:25 p PT game. FOX having just one game to show on local networks means coverage can get a bit more scattered. For the Seahawks and Rams, their game isn’t the highest distribution of FOX’s slate. That
honor belongs to the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings, who also get Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady as the lead broadcasters.
Here’s the map from 506 Sports. If you’re in the blue area, you get Seahawks vs. Rams on your local FOX affiliate!
With six FOX games it’s hard for the Seahawks-Rams to command a large national audience, and as we already explained it’s impractical to have flexed this matchup. Bears-Vikings has top billing, Packers-Giants technically has a wider distribution, then you get to Seahawks-Rams.
The No. 2 crew of Joe Davis and Greg Olsen will be in Inglewood, which may irritate Seattle sports fans given Olsen’s one-year stint with the Seahawks (and what he said after the Russell Wilson trade). Davis is not a voice any Mariners fans want to hear any time soon given he called Game 7 of the American League Championship Series between the Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays. Davis and Olsen also worked the Seahawks’ opening day loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
