What is the story about?
AEW certainly got people talking with the main event of Dynamite Spring BreakThru last night (April 15), so let’s see how they planned to keep the conversation going with a special Thursday Spring BreakThru edition of Collision, filmed in Everett, Washington immediately following Darby Allin’s big title victory.
The spoilers are courtest of PWInsider, and posts on social media from fans in attendance:
- Adam Copeland has an on-ring promo. He has a “huge shiner” and says things aren’t over between Christian Cage and himself and AEW World Tag champs FTR. The Top Guys hit the ramp with Stokely Hathaway, but it’s a distraction for an attack by Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta of The Don Callis Family. The Young Bucks make the save.
- AEW National champ Jungle Jack Perry issued an open challenge to anyone from The Callis Family for next week in Portland, Oregon.
- The Young Bucks def. The Rascalz (Myron Reed & Zachary Wentz) with a Meltzer Driver to Wentz. The healthy members of The Dogs (David Finlay & Clark Connors) attack both teams, and Connors gets on the mic to put the tag division on notice.
- AEW Women’s Tag champs The Divine Dominion get a video package set in “Ancient Greece”.
- New AEW Trios champs The Conglomeration def. Lethal Twist (Blake Christian, Lee Johnson & Jay Lethal) in a six man title eliminator match. Lee Johnson submits to an ankle lock from Kyle O’Reilly.
- A backstage scene with The Opps reveals Anthony Bowens will learn whether he’s in or out next week.
- Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida def. Big Anne & Danika Della Rouge (Stat on Anne after
SaturdayThursday Night Fever) - Jon Moxley def. Nick Wayne in a Continental Title Eliminator. Mox was said to have “sold a lot” for the hometown before beating Wayne in approximately 16 minutes.
- A backstage interview with Callis and Kazuchika Okada. Don says he can get Okada out of the match (I assume Double or Nothing against Konosuke Takeshita for Okada’s International title), but Okada says he’ll do it because unlike Takeshita he’s a champion.
- PAC def. Lio Rush via submission. Lio is still working his Blackheart gimmick, and tapped out to the Brutalizer with a smile on his face.
- The return of Bandido’s Old West hype videos!
- Brody King, Mistico & Mascara Dorada def. Ricky Gibson, Bull Rivera & KC Riff (King pinned Gibson after a Gonzo Bomb)
- An interview with Shida and Statlander is interrupted by Mina Shirakawa, who seems to be insinuating that Shida attacked Toni Storm.
- Thekla def. Alex Windsor via pinfall to retain the AEW Women’s World title. She used a loaded punch before pinning her after a stomp.
Other than Tony Khan thanking the crowd, that’s the report. Sound like a good reason to make your
Thursday night a Collision night on TNT or HBO Max?
