After getting readjusted at home, the Detroit Lions hit the road for another primetime game. They take on the Carolina Panthers on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 4, and Detroit has a chance to kickstart a winning streak.
“I think (Panthers coach Dave) Canales has done a heck of a job over there,” Lions head coach Dan Campbell said. “They won that division last year, playoff team. They got plenty of weapons. Defensive scheme has been there now going on really I guess four years now. It’s a sound,
aggressive unit, they play headsy, they play where their help’s at. It’s fed by really this front seven, front six, that D-line led by (Derrick) Brown and (Jaelan) Phillips and then I think they’ll get Lloyd back this week. He’s pretty dang versatile, does a lot for them. Special teams, they give you a lot of different looks. They can be problematic.”
