A lot happened in the LSU Football program this past weekend. While there is plenty of coverage regarding all of that on and the valley shook dot com, this post is discussing what the former Tigers were
up to!
Vikings 10 at Chargers 37
Justin Jefferson led the Vikings with seven catches for 74 yards. I was pretty rough on JJ McCarthy after Week 1, but I’m ready for him back. Jay Ward and Donte Jackson each had one tackle, and DJ added a pass breakup.
NFLSU Score: 5/10
Jets 39 at Bengals 38
After last week’s Bengals game we were cautiously optimistic Joe Flacco could keep Ja’Marr Chase’s superpowers intact, and he had a very solid game with 91 yards on 12 catches! However, the real story was the winless Jets finally coming out on top. How did they do it? Obviously with THE FIRST CAREER NFL TOUCHDOWN FOR MASON TAYLOR, KING OF CATCHING GAME-WINNING SCORES!
Taylor caught five passes for 34 yards on his first National Tight Ends Day showing. To quote our admin on the Bird app, “it’s ironic that the guy responsible for the biggest win of the Brian Kelly era at LSU caught a game winning touchdown the same day that it ended.”
NFLSU Score: 8/10
Bears 16 at Ravens 30
Emery jones still didn’t play, but he’s finally off IR. C’mon Ravens, you’re so close!
NFLSU Score: 0/10
Dolphins 34 at Falcons 10
Back-to-back zeroes. Brian Kelly’s fault.
NFLSU Score: 0/10
Bills 40 at Panthers 9
Tre’Davious White had one tackle. Damien Lewis played every snap and Reid Ferguson long snapped.
NFLSU Score: 4/10
49ers 15 at Texans 26
Derek Stingley Jr. had two tackles and a pass breakup. Danielle Hunter had one tackle. There was one play where I thought he and Will Anderson Jr. combined for a sack, but only Anderson was credited. Bama bias smh.
NFLSU Score: 5/10
Giants 20 at Eagles 38
Cor’Dale Flott had two tackles before leaving with a concussion. My dream is for all 32 NFL teams to have LSU alumni starting, but man this franchise feels like a curse.
NFLSU Score: 2/10
Browns 13 at Patriots 32
Another week, another long Kayshon Boutte touchdown. Ho hum.
Boutte caught three passes and made them count for 75 yards and that score. Will Campbell blocked and was tasked with trying to block Myles Garrett several time, as if we haven’t taken enough from Texas A&M this week. Grant Delpit and K’Lavon Chaisson had four and one tackle respectively.
I published last week’s recap just too early to include this incredible bit of news, the AFC Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams Players of the Week were all members of the 2019 team.
And if that’s not enough for you, Ethan Pocic played every snap at center again.
NFLSU Score: 9/10
Buccaneers 23 at Saints 3
Back in Louisiana, Josh Williams finally got the first carries of his pro career, running four times for 11 yards. Davon Godchaux had six tackles and Deion Jones had four. Foster Moreau blocked.
NFLSU Score: 5/10
Titans 14 at Colts 38
Ali Gaye had one tackle and Lloyd Cushenberry blocked.
NFLSU Score: 3/10
Cowboys 24 at Broncos 44
Damone Clark had two tackles.
NFLSU Score: 2/10
Packers 35 at Steelers 25
Patrick Queen had three tackles. Don’t look up the Steelers uniforms from this game.
NFLSU Score: 4/10
Commanders 7 at Chiefs 28
No Jayden or Kristian Fulton? No watch.
NFLSU Score: 0/10
