The Cleveland Browns have officially requested a second interview with Rams passing game coordinator Nathan Scheelhaase, regardless of whether or not Los Angeles wins this weekend.
The Browns first interviewed Scheelhaase virtually on January 16th in order to comply with NFL regulations as his team was still in the playoffs.
Cleveland has been incredibly persistent with their interest in the offensive “wonderkid” and Sean McVay disciple, as his offensive prowess, specifically in the passing game, is considered
to be elite. This has been an area of weakness for the Browns over the past two to three seasons.
Under McVay, Scheelhaase has been credited for playing a big part in the team’s air attack that’s ranked in the top three in pretty much every major category.
It’s no secret that Cleveland is on the prowl for an offensive-minded coach, as the team hasn’t been able to keep up with the rest of the league in that category on a consistent basis since the 2023 season.
