I was really trying to wait on this. But you know. That’s how football goes.
The transfer portal doesn’t open for another 2 weeks – unless you’re reading this in the future, in which case, hi, I hope things
are getting better! – and yet it’s all anyone seems to be talking about these days (especially over on Rock M+‘s football forums!) Players are moving left and right, Eli Drinkwitz is publicly pleading for certain players to come back… it’s a real mess. But it’s our mess.
So for the foreseeable future (aka one month from when I’m writing this), we’re going to use this post as a home base for transfer portal activity. We’ve put together a handy little table showing you all the players we think Mizzou is/should be targeting (the ‘Targets’ tab) and another showing which Mizzou players are moving out and going else where (the ‘Outgoing Activity’ tab.)
We hope this helps you organize yourselves. We’ll post much more about player movement over at Rock M+, but we’ll keep you updated with major news and updates here.

Well, we need to get started somewhere. And where we’re starting feels… kind of bad?
Mizzou has already (publicly) lost five players to the portal, and they’re almost all in positions of need. Brendon Haygood and Marquise Davis’s departures have left Eli Drinkwitz publicly begging for Jamal Roberts to come back to the squad and take less money than he could earn on the open market. Assuming he does (think positive, think positive), Mizzou will probably be OK on running back talent, though it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Drink scoop someone up.
The wide receiver room, on the other hand, is turning into a bit of a shit show. Josh Manning’s departure is a massive disappointment to those of us who were ready to see him and Donovan Olugbode take the SEC by storm next year, and James Madison II’s early transfer saw another promising freshman talent quickly take the nearest exit. Javion Hilson’s departure is disappointing given his five-star recruiting status, but it’s also not too shocking that a surprise commitment from last year’s class didn’t stick for long.
We’ve also already got some lobbying from “rostered” players, with signee Jayden McGregory calling on his former teammate, Iowa State’s Zay Robinson, to join him in Columbia.
