The New England Patriots remained without Harold Landry III as Tennessee Titans prep continued.
The team captain and sack leader missed his second consecutive practice on Thursday due to an ankle injury he had played through against the New Orleans Saints. But two recently sidelined veterans returned on the defensive side of the ball.
Outside linebacker Anfernee Jennings and safety Jaylinn Hawkins both were back among the limited participants after being ruled out prior to last weekend’s road trip.
Here’s the second injury report heading into Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Nissan Stadium.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
Patriots
- LB Harold Landry III (ankle)
- CB Charles Woods (knee)
Titans
- WR Calvin Ridley (hamstring)
- LB Arden Key (quadricep)
- LB Dre’Mont Jones (knee)
In addition to Landry, a 2018 draft choice who became a Pro Bowler during his Titans tenure, the Patriots were missing Woods from Thursday’s practice. The sophomore cornerback had been a partial participant during the first session of the week due to a knee injury. He has seen 44 snaps in the secondary and 58 snaps on special teams since being claimed off waivers following the 53-man roster deadline in August.
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- WR Stefon Diggs (chest)
- OT Morgan Moses (hip)
- LB Anfernee Jennings (ankle)
- LB Marte Mapu (neck)
- S Jaylinn Hawkins (hamstring)
Titans
- WR Van Jefferson (ankle)
- WR Bryce Oliver (knee)
- G Blake Hance (shoulder)
- DT T’Vondre Sweat (ankle — IR return)
- DE James Lynch (shoulder)
- CB L’Jarius Sneed (quadricep)
- CB Marcus Harris (calf)
- S Kevin Winson Jr. (hamstring)
- K Joey Slye (right calf)
After missing the previous three and four practices, respectively, Jennings and Hawkins returned to the backfields in Foxborough. They did so as part of a group of five limited participants. Experienced starters at wide receiver and right tackle had opened the week in that capacity for the Patriots. As for Mapu, the off-the-ball linebacker has been managing a neck issue dating back to September.
FULL PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- DT Christian Barmore (not injury related — other)
- DE Keion White (elbow)
- CB Christian Gonzalez (hamstring)
Titans
- WR Tyler Lockett (not injury related — rest)
- G Kevin Zeitler (not injury related — rest)
- DT Jeffery Simmons (not injury related — rest)
The initial selections in the 2023 Patriots draft class have logged back-to-back practices as full participants. White had been ruled out last week due to an elbow injury, while Gonzalez carried the questionable designation into the Caesars Superdome visit. The reigning All-Pro cornerback stayed in to play 55 out of 56 defensive downs from there.
