Barcelona have reportedly had an opening bid for Alessandro Bastoni rejected by Inter ahead of the summer transfer window.
A new report from Sportmediaset in Italy claims that Barcelona have made an initial bid of €45 million for the defender but it’s been knocked back.
Inter are said to be want around €60m for Bastoni because they still believe he’s a key player despite his recent troubles for club and country.
Negotiations are expected to continue between the two clubs, with Bastoni said to be willing
to make the move to the Catalan giants.
The report also claims that Bastoni could receive a hefty pay rise if he does join Barcelona. He currently earns €5m net but it’s believed he would earn €7m at Camp Nou.
Bastoni’s future looks increasingly like being away from Inter. Indeed he’s been told to leave the country “for his own sake” by Giuseppe Bergomi following his red card against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
