The Cincinnati Bengals had an utter collapse against a hapless New York Jets team in the fourth quarter.
And some of the biggest names in football have shared their opinions on the disaster last Sunday.
Former Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden, an Ohio native, had this to say about the Bengals’ defense most recent performance:
“This defense has not developed… They just fired Lou Anarumo, the defensive coordinator. Guess where he is right now calling them up. He’s with the 7-1 Colts… The Bengals defense, that was disgusting… I’m from Ohio, and these Bengals pissed me off yesterday.”
Watch the clip below.
Gruden also referenced an offensive line that gets Joe Burrow hurt regularly and a front office that “[hasn’t] given an offensive lineman a second contract since Clint Boling”.
It was quite the rant and well deserved.
We’ll have to see how the defense responds next week against the Chicago Bears. In the meantime, here’s a little clip about the Jets game.
