What to watch for
The Washington Mystics just beat one of the stronger teams, away, the Indiana Fever. And they did in impressive fashion, leading by almost 20 for most of the game. A couple night earlier
they demolished the Sky.
So all expectations are that the Connecticut Sun will be no challenge for the Mystics tomorrow, at home, in D.C. Given that the WNBA’s playoff teams were all decided before the FIBA Women’s World Cup break, the lottery bound teams have all been looking forward to next season.
For Connecticut, this is also the last time they will play the Mystics as the Sun. Next year, they will be relocating to Houston and become the second version of the storied Comets franchise.
Washington is shooting off-the-charts these last couple games. It’s the perfect situation for coming to this game non-chalant and taking it easy and then having to struggle to win, or the Mystics could who maturity and set the tone in the first quarter and let their stars get some well-deserved rest.
