The Kentucky Wildcats officially made the top five for class of 2027 safety Jeremiah Proctor, according to Riley Alberts of 247 Sports.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound defensive back from Gainesville (GA) included Kentucky alongside Florida State, Miami (FL), Tennessee, and Pittsburgh in his final group of schools.
According to 247 Sports Composite, Proctor is currently ranked No. 598 nationally, the No. 57 safety in the country, and the No. 70 overall prospect in the state of Georgia.
Proctor has several official
visits lined up this summer, including stops at Florida State from June 5-7, Pittsburgh from June 11-13, and Kentucky from June 19-21.
Last season, Proctor helped lead Gainesville High School to a 12-3 record and an appearance in the Georgia Class 5A state championship game. While primarily playing safety, he also saw snaps at outside linebacker, showcasing his versatility and physicality on defense.
Proctor’s length, zone coverage ability, and closing speed make him an intriguing defensive prospect. His long strides allow him to cover ground quickly while also disrupting passing lanes and tracking the football effectively in the air.
If Kentucky ultimately lands Proctor, he would join an already loaded 2027 secondary class featuring 4-star safeties Marquis Bryant, Tristin Hughes, and Larron Westmoreland as the Wildcats continue prioritizing size and athleticism in the defensive backfield.
