All is not well in the land of Cleveland Browns football. The team returned to the United States, flying overnight immediately following their loss in London to the Minnesota Vikings, carrying with them
a 1-4 record and more questions than answers.
While many are looking/hoping for a change with HC Kevin Stefanski, the Browns have a version of a short week as they face the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in Week 6
.While the clear and present situation is not positive, Cleveland’s decisions all offseason seemed pointed at a soft reset of the roster and hope of the future through the NFL draft. The trade down with the Jacksonville Jaguars not only acquired DT Mason Graham and RB Quinshon Judkins but also an extra first-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
After Week 5, the Browns sit near the top of the NFL draft order, while the Jaguars are tied for the best record in the NFL, and the bottom of the 2026 draft order:
- New York Jets: 0-5
- Cleveland Browns: 1-4
- Baltimore Ravens: 1-4
- Miami Dolphins: 1-4
- New Orleans Saints: 1-4
- Las Vegas Raiders: 1-4
- Tennessee Titans: 1-4
- New York Giants: 1-4
- Cincinnati Bengals: 2-3
- Kansas City Chiefs: 2-3
A few teams that were expected to compete at the top of the AFC are currently slotted to draft in the Top 10 (Ravens, Bengals, Chiefs), while the rest of the list is not really surprising.
Obviously still early in the season, tiebreakers have the Jacksonville pick sitting 26th at this point with seven teams tied with 4-1 records.
Does the idea of having a top pick and another in the first round excite you/take the sting away from the 1-4 start or not?
