Hoeneß says Wirtz would’ve been better at Bayern (Welt am Sonntag via @iMiaSanMia)
Bayern Munich legend Uli Hoeneß does not think Florian Wirtz would be struggling at Bayern Munich the way he is at Liverpool:
In retrospect, are you glad that the transfer of Florian Wirtz to FC Bayern didn’t work out a little over a year ago?
Uli Hoeneß: “No. Because Florian would play much better for us than he does at Liverpool. I watch a lot of his games. They haven’t integrated him properly at all. In Leverkusen, he got every ball; in Liverpool, he’s just one among many.”
Will FC Bayern make another
attempt to sign Wirtz, given his problems in England?
Hoeneß: “No. He has a long-term contract in Liverpool. They will try to integrate him better there.”
As Hoeneß stated, it might be a long time before Wirtz would ponder another move. Maybe when he is ready, Bayern Munich will be waiting. If Hoeneß is still in power, you would have to think that the Bavarians will—at least—kick the tires on a move.
Until then, Hoeneß and every Bayern Munich fan can only watch from afar.
Spurs clause to be excluded from new Kane deal? (The Standard)
If Bayern Munich inks Harry Kane to a contract extension, it could look to get rid of any matching rights for Tottenham Hotspur:
Kane’s former club Tottenham have a confirmed clause in the current contract which means they can match any bid made for the striker.
Transfer journalist Fabrizo Romano suggested that Bayern would look at removing such clauses as they look to tie down the striker and rule out a return to the Premier League.
It remains to be seen if Tottenham are due any financial reward should Kane win the Ballon d’Or.
“It’s about the length of the contract, how many years, how to sort that clause Harry Kane had in his contract for a Premier League return, for Tottenham matching rights,” Romano recently said on his YouTube channel.
“I think it’s happening. It’s very close.”
A deal between Kane and Bayern Munich feels like a formality at this point, but it will be interesting to see what the final terms are regarding money, years, and any other stipulations that might be included.

Leipzig to keep Nkunku (Transfer journalist Nicolò Schira)
Christopher Nkunku’s loan spell at RB Leipzig could turn into a permanent transfer from AC Milan, per this report:

Barca eyeing Vitinha (Fußball News journalist Ekrem Konur)
Could FC Barcelona really be taking a close look at PSG’s Vitinha? Maybe (at least per this report):
🚨 #PSG Barcelona are said to admire the qualities of PSG midfielder Vitinha, although no concrete approach has been made so far.
🚫 PSG reportedly have no intention of selling the Portuguese international, whose contract runs until 2029.
🔻 Vitinha is understood to be fully settled in Paris and remains committed to winning more trophies with the French champions.
💰 While the midfielder, valued at around €140 million, is currently considered untouchable by PSG.
While Vitinha is world-class, it seems very unlikely that FC Barcelona would be looking to go big in the central midfield.
PSG getting serious about Gabriel? (ESPN)

Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race for Manchester United forward J.J. Gabriel, according to Diario AS. PSG are the latest team to show interest in the 16-year-old, but reports have indicated that Real Madrid remain the favourites to secure his signature. A final decision is yet to be made on his future as discussions continue between his representatives and clubs in Europe.
