Barcelona’s newest signing took part in his first training session with the group on Saturday as 18-year-old Belgian winger Jesse Bisiwu joined Hansi Flick’s squad after signing from Club Brugge a day earlier.
Bisiwu is expected to start out at Barça Atlètic but will be heavily involved with the first team training group during the season, and the youngster spoke to the media after the session and made it clear he will accept his role and be ready to work whenever Hansi Flick makes the call.
“The feeling
is very good. I’ve been very well welcomed. It’s like a big family, and both my teammates and the coaches have given me a great welcome.
“I’m going to do everything he wants me to do. When he needs me, I’ll work hard and be there. For me, it’s very simple. It’s just about working hard and being where the coach needs me.
“I enjoy playing football. I like having the ball at my feet and taking players on one-on-one.”
Bisiwu is a very interesting prospect who is saying all the right things on his first days at the club. Are we allowed to get excited yet?
