ACC Network Interview
- We wanted to put together a team that is prepared to get to March and can win in March
- Over 90% of our shots are the ones we want to take
- Shooting 38.5% on over 1100 tracked attempts from 3PT as a team
- We’ve got 7 players shooting 38% or better from 3PT
- Shooting 75% from free throw line as a team
- I think we can have a top 10-15 defense in the country
- 7 players with 7+ foot wingspan
- We believe we have one of the best teams in the conference and one of the best in the country
- Alyn [Breed] is somebody who we have really high hopes for. I think he’s going to have some opportunities this year, but he’s practiced three times.
Field of 68 interview
- We have 549 minutes of NCAA tournament experience on our team, more than 200 more than the next team in the ACC
- Paul McNeil is one of the best shooters I’ve been around
- Part of our [NC State’s] problem is we’ve focused too much on those other guys. We’ve got to get our s*** in order first.
- “There’s no limit on how good our program can be”
- Will Wade previously told interviewer, “I’m not leaving McNeese unless it’s to somewhere I can win a national championship.” He wasn’t going to leave McNeese last season unless they made the tournament. Confirms, he believes it can be done at NC State.

- Matt Able – He will contribute from day one. He’s still a freshman, he’s going to have ups and downs. Going to be one of the best freshmen in the ACC
- Paul McNeil – Paul has been phenomenal. He gets fouled about once a practice and makes a 4-point play. He’s poised for a breakout sophomore season.
