The Green Bay Packers are dropping like flies, adding injury to insult. First, quarterback Jordan Love was taken to the locker room. After the drive that Love dropped in, which ended with a touchdown and
a Lucas Havrisik miss on the PAT, running back Josh Jacobs also went to the locker room with an injury. As of now, Jacobs’ injury hasn’t been announced.
If Jacobs misses the remainder of the game, the Packers will be down just Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks, the latter of whom is more of a blocking back than a true ball-carrier. That’s not great, given that the New York Giants’ biggest weakness this season has been their run defense. So much for that plan to pound the rock.
On the following kickoff, defensive end Arron Mosby went down with a shoulder injury, too.
We’ll update this post when more information comes out on the Jacobs and Mosby injuries.
Update: It’s being called a knee injury for Jacobs. He’s questionable to return. Usually, players who are given an in-game status for the Packers don’t actually return to action.
