Bayern’s CEO has offered an encouraging update on the club’s efforts to keep the English striker in Munich, revealing that discussions have been positive and the two sides are now working through the details.
“I’m very positive [that he’ll stay]. We’ve had good talks and are currently working through the details. In summer 2023, we brought in an absolute superstar from the Premier League in Harry. He has evolved from a traditional box striker into a player who is comparable to a quarterback in the NFL.
That may be something not every coach in the world understands. But for us, he has been worth every euro,” Dreesen told Sport Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
The quarterback comparison is particularly interesting. Kane is far more than a goalscorer, regularly dropping deep to dictate play, create chances, and bring his teammates into the game. His ability to combine elite finishing with exceptional vision has made him an indispensable part of Vincent Kompany’s system.
And the numbers only tell part of the story. Kane has brought world-class professionalism, leadership, and a relentless hunger for success to Munich.
Bayern invested heavily to bring him in from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, and Dreesen has no doubts about the value of that decision.
Now, Bayern want to make sure the partnership continues. Could Kane finish his career in Munich?
