Retired strongman Eddie Hall, who captured the 2017 World’s Strongest Man before transitioning to combat sports, is currently in talks to fight former Bellator MMA welterweight, Dillon Danis.
Might be time
to start that crash diet.
“The World’s Strongest Man against the most talked about name in MMA,” Hall wrote on Instagram. “The clash the world never believed would happen. The biggest fight in history set to smash every record ever made. Dillon Danis you’re a dirtbag fraud who hides behind hype and when I ragdoll you in front of millions the whole world will see you were never real.”
MMA Fighting confirmed the bout is “definitely in the works,“ though a date and location (as well as a promotion) has yet to be sorted out. It stands to reason Misfits Boxing is at or near the top of the list following Hall’s staredown with Danis in Manchester.
Winner fights Iranian Hulk?
“In a world first, I’m stepping in at 170 pounds against the World’s Strongest Man weighing 465 [pounds],” Danis wrote on social media. “That’s balls of steel. Tell me who wouldn’t pay to watch that. I’m literally gonna suplex him over the ropes. I can’t wait.”
Not even the third dumbest fight we’ve seen announced over the last few weeks.
