Hello and happy Monday, folks. We’re mere hours away from Opening Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With that in mind, the question of the day is simple: who’s going to be the fifth starter in the rotation?
Crochet’s a Cy Young candidate. Suarez and Gray are locks. Bello’s a good of a bet as anyone in the organization to provide 30-ish starts. From there, who’s the fifth guy?
Is it top pitching prospect Payton Tolle, with a potentially revamped pitch mix to go alongside his electric fastball?
Is it Connelly
Early, who made his mark late last season and has a high ceiling in his own right?
Is it Johan Oviedo, the guy with legit swing-and-miss stuff and the guy who could facilitate Tolle and Early being held in AAA to ensure an extra year of team control on their respective contracts?
Is it a secret fourth option? Is it YOU, the person reading this? What is a horseshoe? What does a horseshoe do? Are there horse socks? Is anyone listening to me?
Let me know the answer to ALL of those questions in the comments below.
Be good to each other and go Sox.
