Jake Paul might meet his maker if President Donald Trump gets to pick his next opponent.
Earlier this week, Paul was able to lock down an exclusive one-on-one interview with the President of the United States to talk a variety of topics. Most of the 30-minute interview was spent discussing fighting, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise considering Trump is an avid combat sports fan.
Remember, Trump helped approve and plan UFC’s upcoming White House card this June.
One of the topics discussed between
Trump and Paul was who “Problem Child” will fight next. Paul is coming off a jaw-breaking knockout loss at the hands of former boxing heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (see it HERE), but he’s still looking to stay active in combat sports. This means another trip to the ring and a potential crossover into mixed martial arts (MMA). Paul’s return may not happen until early next year as he still recovers from Joshua’s beatdown, but the social media influencer will not be deterred.
Trump eventually asked who Paul might fight next and “Problem Child” racked off a ton of names that included Oleksandr Usyk, Francis Ngannou, and Ryan Garcia. That’s when Paul asked Trump who he wants to see him fight next and the President set him up for the worst matchup imaginable; a fight with former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Check it out below:
“I may be doing some MMA. We’re promoting fights now,” said Paul. “Maybe [Oleksandr] Usyk in MMA. Francis Ngannou. Ryan Garcia. Maybe Tommy Fury.”
“Who would you want to see me fight?” Paul asked Trump.
“Well, probably Khabib [Nurmagomedov],” replied Trump as Paul broke out with a chuckle. “I think he’s just great.”
