After weeks of speculation, Jürgen Klopp has officially been presented as the new coach of the German national football team. The former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool coach is returning to the fray, and he said a suit is probably off the table with the indication that his trusty tracksuits which he wore to matches will be making a return.
“I haven’t missed doing this [press conferences],” Klopp said with a laugh (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia). “Definitely not a tie. We’ll see. I’ve had the
opportunity to update my wardrobe in recent years. I feel it is now more suitable for the new role than before.”
His predecessor Julian Nagelsmann normally wore more laid-back outfits, which sort of matched his approach to matches. Legends won’t forget when Nagelsmann went to a fashion show with Matthias Jaissle when Bayern played Red Bull Salzburg in 2022. In any case, Klopp will be looking to guide Die Mannschaft back to being a stable, formidable side.
