The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without wide receivers Roman Wilson and Ben Skowronek for their upcoming matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, head coach Mike McCarthy announced during his Monday press conference.
The absences leave Pittsburgh without two depth options at wide receiver as the team prepares for a challenging matchup against Tampa Bay. Their unavailability could place additional pressure on the Steelers front office to bring in another pass-catcher.
Wilson left Sunday’s game against
the Colts with a hand injury, and Skowronek left in the second quarter with a calf/ankle injury.
With both players ruled out for the week, the Steelers will need rookie Germie Bernard to step up once again. Michael Pittman Jr. is also still on IR as he battles a foot injury. Pittsburgh’s receiver depth will be worth monitoring as the team prepares for its showdown with the Buccaneers.
