Hamza Abdelkarim was on target for Barcelona Atletic on Saturday in a 2-1 win over Utebo at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
The Egypt international dropped out of the first-team squad for the match and was named in the starting XI for the match along with Jesse Bisiwu.
Abdelkarim didn’t need long to make an impact, either. The youngster struck the opening goal from the penalty spot after just six minutes of the contest.
Bisiwu won the spot-kick for Belletti’s
side and Abdelkarim calmly stroked the ball past the goalkeeper and low in to the far corner for the opening goal.
Barcelona then had to wait until the 72nd minute to double their lead through substitute Pedro Rodriguez. The substitute won the ball high up the possession and then drilled a low shot home to seal the points.
Utebo did pull a consolation goal back in stoppage time but could not deny Barca Atletic the win that continues their superb start to the season.
Belletti’s men stay top of the table and have now won their last five games on the bounce.
