The San Francisco 49ers are coming into this game wounded, and without some of their star players and key starters, so how can the Los Angeles Rams lose? Well, that’s what I am asking: How can the Rams lose tonight!?!?!
I have some theories in my final score post (spoiler: I am picking the Rams to win), so feel free to check out or stay here and let us know in the comments! Talk about the game before the game, check out the other posts and articles today and comment there too! Show Turf Show Times some love today, it’s Thursday Night Football for the Rams and 49ers, no better time like the present to talk with other NFL fans right here at the site!
Later on, we’ll have Game Threads, and all fans are welcome! We want to hear from everyone, so I’ll hope to see you there!
Thank you checking out the site, I have to work my 9-5 today, but best believe I’ll have this game on my brain all day (though I’ll try not to stress about until kickoff, good luck with that), and just like most of you come kickoff, I’ll be ready for some football.
49ers injuries: QB Brock Purdy, WRs Ricky Pearsall, Jauan Jennings out for ‘Thursday Night Football’ vs. Rams (cbssports)
“San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is officially out for “Thursday Night Football” against the Los Angeles Rams with a toe injury. Mac Jones is expected to start in Purdy’s place.
Purdy already missed two games — Week 2 vs. the New Orleans Saints and Week 3 vs. the Arizona Cardinals — due to his turf toe injury, but he returned in Week 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, Purdy said he felt soreness in his toe after the Jaguars game, a 26-21 loss. Purdy went 22 of 28 for 309 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in last week’s matchup.“
Against the Colts, Rams moved Jared Verse “all over the place” (nbcsports)
“They wouldn’t do it and then I threw it out there last week and they randomly added it in and I was like, ‘All right, let’s try it,’” Verse said. “I didn’t think they were going to call it in-game but they called it and I’m like, ‘All right, bet.’ I’ve got to make this worth it. I’ve got to keep this call in. It’s something I enjoy. I like being in different positions because it’s not often that I get to go up against a center or a guard and use my speed, my power and be able to play those games from a different position. I like it.”
Rams Receive Troubling News in Injury Report (si.com)
“I asked Sean McVay what Ferguson’s development plan looked like after the Rams’ week two win over the Tennessee Titans.
“We’ll see,” stated McVay. “I thought it was a hell of a play that he made on the blocked extra point to be able to go track that thing down. Like I mentioned to you guys postgame, he’s done a really good job. I think it’s a case-by-case thing. He ended up playing on third downs a lot of the time yesterday. The ball didn’t necessarily find him, but he did a good job.”
