If we are all honest with ourselves, between now and the 2026 NFL draft, almost every conversation that could be had will be had around NFL teams. As a site and fanbase focused on our beloved Cleveland Browns, that can sometimes get annoying, frustrating, and/or overwhelming. Will any of it matter?

Browns mock drafts will litter the digital spaces, including our 7-round mock and Doug Farrar’s 2-rounder late in the week, as well as discussions around what else Cleveland
could do with their roster.
With no certainty at the quarterback position, including QB Deshaun Watson back in competition for the starting job, the most important position in the NFL will continue to get talked about. That includes CBS Sports expert Josh Edwards noting that the Browns could look to trade for either Anthony Richardson or Will Levis instead of drafting a quarterback:
Edwards noted on social media that Levis to the Green Bay Packers and Richardson to Cleveland would be his guess in how the quarterbacks land. We noted that Richardson rumors had swirled about a month ago.
Both quarterbacks were drafted higher than their film and analysis said they should be because of their physical traits. Levis was noted as “one of the most physically gifted quarterbacks in the draft” ahead of the 2023 draft, while Richardson’s note was even stronger:
Dual-threat quarterback with an elite physical profile and a lot of work that needs to be done to reach a potentially high ceiling. Richardson’s frame, arm talent and mobility will demand respect as a potential first-round option.
In recent comments, Browns HC Todd Monken didn’t seem to be keen on having a huge competition for the starting quarterback job. Monken has noted multiple times that he wants to have an idea of who will be getting the majority of snaps as soon as possible. If Cleveland does add Levis or Richardson, it could mean sending out Shedeur Sanders in the process so that Monken still has just two quarterbacks vying for the starting job.
Given that Watson’s contract makes him untradable, trading Sanders to make room for Levis or Richardson would be the only option, even if that decision feels like a questionable move, at best. In three seasons in the NFL, Levis has started 21 games, completed 61% of his passes with 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. In that same timeframe, Richardson has played in 17 games, with 15 starts, completing just 51% of his passes with 11 TDs and 13 INTs.
As profiled before the draft, Richardson has been a threat with his legs, rushing for 10 touchdowns in his career.
How would you feel about adding either Levis or Richardson to the quarterback room? Should that addition also lead to trading away Sanders, or should the Browns have a 3-way competition for the starting QB?
