A top-notch closer. We had one for part of last year with Mason Miller. I understand the long-term value in trading him for some young talent, but that doesn’t mean we should settle for life without a legit closer.
A consistent bat at third base, who is not a defensive liability. Some may ask for a player with some pop. I’m not against that, but I’ll settle for a consistent hitter that gets on base, can drive in some runs, and can stay healthy. If Max Muncy is that guy, then great. If moving Wilson to third with a solid replacement at short is the answer, I’m fine with that too.
