The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off their bye week as they get geared up for a date with the Baltimore Ravens in Maryland.
Sitting at 3-2 on the season, they have some ground to make up as the AFC North continues to be jumbled up in terms of the standings. A win on Sunday would help propel them forward, but to do that, they need the running game to step up.
So far this season, the Bengals have struggled to get rolling on the ground, especially running back Chase Brown. Expected to have a big year,
Brown has struggled to find the explosive play. That is where this one painful stat really makes your heart hurt some.
Brown has the most touches this season without a gain of 15+ yards at 95. The second closest is Kendre Miller at 55.
With plenty of season left, let’s hope Sunday is the perfect day for Brown to find that explosive play and really help open up Joe Burrow and the play-action game. If so, this team becomes even more dangerous on offense.
