Cutdown day has come and gone in the NFL. When the roster trims to 53 men, a number of preseason standouts always fail to make the cut.
They frequently return on the practice squad, though. Sometimes because of injuries they even return to the roster during the season and get playing time.
This week in our SB Nation Reacts survey, we asked fans which Jets practice squader is likely to have an impact on the team in 2026.
I don’t think it’s surprising to see Nate Lynn at the top of the list. He caught
the attention of Jets fans with three sacks over the final two preseason games to snag a practice squad slot. He almost made the roster from his preseason performance.
I also am not surprised to see Mory Bamba finish a strong second after his excellent preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Had Bamba not suffered an injury, he might have been able to make a case for a roster spot.
