Tomorrow afternoon, our Miami Dolphins will travel north to take on the Cleveland Browns. As usual, we have our weekly PQOTD prior to the game:
What are your predictions for this coming Sunday’s game between our Miami Dolphins and the Cleveland Browns? Additionally, please share with us which player(s) you would steal from the Browns to place on the Phins roster.
Below are some of your thougths and answers-
Tua2Hill expects more ugly or maybe new, so sad it’s funny ugly.
I predict more of the same… and
maybe some new, more comical way to lose while making the other team look like SB contenders.
dedstrk is in on Neon Deion’s kid.
Shedeur, of course.
PA phinphan believes that the Phins’ hapless defense will make Gabriel look like a probowler and is trying out the reverse psychology thing.
Prediction:
The Phins make Gabriel look like the next best thing as Judkins runs amok. The Browns rack up over 400 yards and score 30-plus points. Meanwhile, Tua gets sacked on his first dropback as the o-line makes him pay for his comments. He gets knocked out of the game. Zach Wilson comes in and proves the Jets were right for once; he’s not good. The offense sputters all day, managing three field goals.Players to Steal:
The aforementioned Judkins and perhaps Ward. The Phins still need CB help.
FWIW, my last two predictions didn’t pan out. I truly believed they would win the last two games. So maybe if I predict a loss, they might win. Although at this point, I highly doubt it. I just have no more hope.
finfanfromsiam sees the Dolphins getting spanked. (cue Alpha6 comment)
As with things that happen after a “should have kept my mouth shut” moment……Browns 35 Miami 6. Team continues……
SlayerNation1 says it’s perfect conditions…
BTW forecast 66F, windy and 94% rain. Perfect weather for weak armed QBs.
cyberflea has Miami winning and wants some more pass rush…please!
Player to steal: Best available – DE Myles Garret
Prediction: A battle of two of the worst teams in the NFL in which both will have losing seasons. Everyone sing – Not in the air, not on the ground were never in control and when you say Miami, you’re talking toilet bowl.
The Browns defense has been one of the better units in the NFL while their offense has averaged less than 14 points per game and are the league’s worst at scoring. The Dolphins have one of the worst defenses in the NFL and have been terrible against the run. Offensively, the OL continues to be a problem which has struggled to protect Tua who collapses under pressure.
The Dolphins can win this game if and I say if they can somehow control the Browns running game and keep it around 100 yds simply because the Browns passing game is so weak. The offense must protect Tua, get the running game going and score early. Force the Browns out of their run game tempo. Hopefully the game won’t be a nightmare for Tua if the OL can’t control Garrett which will be a difficult task.
I would normally pick the team with the better defense in this classic toilet bowl matchup however I’m going out on a very fragile limb and say that the Dolphins will be able to pull this one out. The Browns surpass their 14 points per game average however the Dolphins score a little bit more. If the Dolphins lose, HC and GM seats are going to get hot, hot hotter.
Note: The Dolphins should consider starting Ewers to see what they have in the rookie if Tua continues to throw picks and the losses pile up on this lost season. But they won’t.
Dolphins 26-20 – I’ll be making an appointment with a psychiatrist ASAP. 🤪
MiamiItaliano says take a flyer on him and honestly, what do we have to lose?
Maybe Shedeur since the Browns don’t want him. He’ll probably be cut anyway after the season, so it wouldn’t hurt to take a cheap flyer on him.
FLBillsFan451 wants some pass rush, DL, OL and secondary help.
Although the DL is already overstocked, there is no standout, game-wrecker on it. Take Myles Garrett and suddenly things should look better. Their defense is pretty well stocked could probably take any of their starting DBs. On offense, maybe Wyatt Teller and Jack Conklin (their left side OG and OT) to help shore up the OL.
This will probably be another tough game, Browns’ defense is their better unit, but I think their offense may also be just a bit better than Fins’ defense right now as well. Need the DL to start showing up (I feel like I say that somewhere else around here too…).
MiMiami agrees with me that we should have already traded Hill before he could go down with an injury.
We should have traded Tyreek Hill long before the Jets game. And we should definitely make any trades necessary before guys start suffering season ending injuries. The weather will be nasty this Sunday.
phinette23 wants the team going home on Grayhound if they lose to the equally woeful Browns. Well that’s not what phinette said but I think they would agree with my take.
Can we steal a whole unit? I have a bad feeling about this game. If we lose, the entire team should be forced to buy their own ticket back home.
