TNA locked down a former WWE wrestler to bolster the Knockouts division, and the reveal created excitement. During the live episode of Impact (Aug. 27, 2026), Zoey Stark made her presence felt in a surprise appearance. Stark has a new name and reunites with an old friend.
To set the scene, Daria Rae (aka Sonya Deville) is using her power as director of operations in TNA to plot against Indi Hartwell. The Aussie sassed the SUIT on the Lockdown pre-show to call her Diarrhea Rae.
Fast forward to Impact, and Hartwell cut a promo with her eye on the Knockouts Championship. She wants to be next in line for a title shot. Hartwell is in her prime, and she won’t let anyone get in her way. Enter Daria Rae to flex her authority. She insulted Hartwell as a mediocre wrestler not deserving of that opportunity. Daria offered advice to take her ass back to catering. Trash talk led to Diarrhea chants from fans.
Daria threatened consequences. If she ever steps in the ring again, she will kick Hartwell back to kangaroo land. Hartwell accused Daria of projecting her failed in-ring career to tear down others. As Daria turned to exit, Hartwell was attacked from behind by Zoey Stark. After the beatdown, Daria introduced her friend as Zoey Serrano.
TNA quickly announced that Serrano is signed as the newest member of the Knockouts division.
We won’t have to wait long for Serrano to wrestle. Backstage, Santino Marella booked Hartwell and Harley Hudson in tag team action against Serrano and Knockouts champion Xia Brookside for next week on Impact. My ears might deceive me, but I think Santino did his joke of botching names to refer to Serrano as Zoey Soprano.
The alliance between Serrano and Daria makes sense as former stable mates in the Pure Fusion Collective during their time in WWE. Shayna Baszler was also in that group. Serrano previously had a few matches in TNA as Lacey Ryan in 2019 and 2020.
