The Tennessee Titans are currently slated to possess the No. 1 overall selection in the 2027 NFL Draft. After Week 5, they are winning the SOS tiebreaker versus the other 0-5 teams (Chargers, Dolphins). The Titans do look like legitimate contenders to earn the top pick, unfortunately.
That has prompted this 3-round Titans mock draft. Titans GM Mike Borgonzi (or someone else?) will have difficult decisions to make if they actually end up owning the No. 1 overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Round 1 (No. 1): Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State
Would the
Titans draft a quarterback No. 1 overall to replace Cam Ward? Personally, we’re currently unimpressed by this upcoming QB class. Arch Manning and Dante Moore haven’t been good enough. The Titans may have to decide between choosing a QB to replace the current No. 1 overall quarterback, or a wide receiver who makes the rookie fourth overall pick a WR2.
Jeremiah Smith is a generational prospect and the Titans shouldn’t overthink it, if given the opportunity. He looks like a legitimate Hall of Fame talent. Adding Smith to this offense would give Ward even fewer excuses in 2027. If the Titans have to draft a QB in 2028, inheriting Smith is a good problem for that rookie passer to have.
Round 2 (No. 35): Clev Lubin, EDGE, Louisville
Jeffery Simmons is the only Titans pass rusher currently capable of getting after the quarterback. The edge-rushing group is particularly bad. Jermaine Johnson II is on an expiring contract. Femi Oladejo doesn’t look like he’ll ever be more than a rotational player. Keldric Faulk is still growing and developing, but he’s more of a “BIG END” ala Arik Armstead in Robert Saleh’s system as opposed to a game-wrecking pass rusher.
Louisville’s Clev Lubin is an exciting pass rusher. He proved capable of handling better competition by registering 8.5 sacks in 2025 after having 9.5 sacks at Coastal Carolina in 2024. Lubin already has another four sacks in 2026.
Round 3 (No. 66): LJ Martin, RB, BYU
Both Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears are on expiring contracts. The Titans shouldn’t bring either player back in 2027. The offense’s inability to consistently run the football is hurting Cam Ward.
If the Titans decide to give Ward one final opportunity in 2027, they’ll need a significant investment at running back. BYU’s LJ Martin is a good-sized back (6-2, 225) with a three-year period of excellent production. Martin is currently my fifth-ranked RB in this class.
