Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Let’s start the night off by taking a look back over the three biggest stories of Monday, Dec. 8, 2025.
- Video: Former UFC champs Jamahal Hill and Joanna Jedrzejczyk nearly scrap — ‘I’ll knock you the f—k out!’: It’s really hard to be a Jamahal Hill fan. What are you trying to prove man?
- UFC 323 results: Matches to make for ‘Merab vs. Yan 2’ main card winners: I am fully on board with a Yan vs. Dvalishvili rubber match on the UFC White House card.
- Dana White’s arbitrary (and continued) punishment of UFC’s No. 1 contender contradicts Nick Khan, undermines TKO’s efforts to update Ali Act: Pushing the idea that the UFC rankings matter and the promotion is a meritocracy is unintentionally very funny.
Insomnia
We now have a targeted date and location for Mike Tyson vs. Floyd Mayweather,
the silliest fight that I strongly hope does not happen.
I like this fight much better than the original plan of sacrificing Beneil Dariush two months after he was brutally stopped.
Everybody knows that hiding a high kick behind a same side kick is a great trick, but this is an equally effective setup. 1-2-3 left body kick was always a favorite combo of mine!
Is Jiri Prochazka the most wholesome hooligan-turned-champion of all time?
Bogdan Guskov may not have earned the nod over Jan Blachowicz, but at least he always has hip hop as a fallback option.
I would not have guessed that Terence Crawford was the most Googled athlete of 2025.
Mike Davis is a very talented fighter, definitely an under-the-radar Lightweight standout.
Slips, rips, and KO clips
Shades of Dustin Hazelett in this super slick armbar!
Another incredible armbar for good measure! It takes real guts to go for a jumping submission in MMA.
A whole lot of weirdness vs. one missile of a right hand.
Random Land
This is basically how Henry Cejudo went out at UFC 323.
