News that Gavi is set to miss a significant chunk of the season after undergoing another knee operation has handed Barcelona a massive blow in the early stages of the season.
The combative midfielder is
loved by the whole squad but now faces another spell out injured and a long road back to recovery.
Hansi Flick was quick to offer support at a press conference, while Lamine Yamal has posted a touching message in support of the midfielder.
The rest of the Barcelona squad have also taken to social media to send good wishes to Gavi and show their support when he needs it the most.
Ronaldo Araujo posted: “They say that the hardest battles are for the strongest warriors. And when they say warrior that’s exactly what you are. To recover because we will be waiting for you on the pitch to keep fighting lil bro.”
It was a sentiment shared by Dani Olmo: “We’re with you, warrior! Great things lie ahead for us to play and win. Recover quickly and strongly, and let’s go together for everything, my little brother.”
Alejandro Balde added :”You’ll come back stronger my brother. We’re with you,” and Marcus Rashford posted: “You’ll come back stronger, Gavi.”
Marc Bernal, who is just back from ACL surgery, was also thinking about Gavi and wrote: “Great strength my brother, you’re capable of anything.”
And there was also a message from Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele who wrote: “Stay strong, little brother. I hope you recover soon so I can see you enjoying yourself on the field again! Big hug and I miss you!”
